Broadside Trading Co is a company providing people with quality custom-designed apparel and nautical goods. They required a catalog design to showcase their new line of products, which they would task me to complete. I would also be responsible for designing a complete brand identity system for them, and for developing and designing their new product line to be included in the catalog. The challenge would be creating a nostalgic nautical-based brand, that was refreshingly bold and unique, and a catalog design that would reflect this brand attitude.

The product line I would create emphasized the nautical nature of the brand. The enamel pins, tags, and apparel would utilize a one-tone sea-based illustration, which highlighted the object's forms. The catalog design emphasized the bold attitude of the brand. Large-title formats and imagery brought this core value to the forefront, and minimal spreads focused viewers to the bold product personality.
